HISTORY
The history of Taekwondo may be traced back to the Koguryo Dynasty (37 BC) and through the Silla, Koryo and Chosun Dynasties to the Olympic Sport it is today.

Koguryo Dynasty   Silla Dynasty   Chosun Dynasty   Present Day
Gyeongbok Palace Gyeongbok Palace is located in Northern Seoul, Korea. It was built in 1394, during the Chosun Dynasty and was burnt down during the Japanese Invasions of the late 16th century. It was re-built during the 19th century as a massive 330 building complex. In 1911, all but 10 buildings were destroyed when Korea was again under Japanese control. Today, the palace is open to the public.
